Feminist Revolution

          The government led by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, has been concerned with designing an entire legal framework to protect women from the country.

           For this reason, the Ministry of Popular Power for Women and Gender Equality (MinMujer), guides the policies, plans, programs and projects of the Venezuelan state, which promotes the participation of women in the Power and guarantees the exercise of their rights and gender equality established in the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

         Moreover, it has the National Institute of Women (INAMUJER), which is responsible for policies and programs to prevent and deal with violence against women, also coordinates the “Shelter Home”, shelters for victims , where they remain in the domicile or residence involving imminent threat to the integrity of women.
